Android P was released, at the moment, only in the form of a test dedicated to developers with the first Developer Preview for Google Pixel devices. Furthermore, since no source code is available for this release, no developer has managed to create a custom ROM based on the latest Android version. Despite all these premises, today we bring you the first images of Android 9 running on Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
The above images can be seen in the gallery and refer to the Android P test on the Chinese variant of the top of the range Huawei. Thanks to the work of FunkyHuawei, an XDA user managed to rebrand his Mate 10 Pro and update the software to this release of Android P in testing. The software version is primitive: there are no significant introductions and those present were already present in previous versions of the EMUI and subsequently disabled.
In addition, the EMUI version is reported as 8.2 but probably will be changed to 9.0 in the stable release and various observations confirm that it is a real build of Android P such as restrictions on apps that do not use Java API SDK and those on overlay WHO of third parts. We observe, from the last image in the gallery, how there is also a new feature for zooming the highlighted text, which is not present even in the EMUI 8.1 released for Huawei P20 Pro.

We reiterate that this version of Android P for Huawei Mate 10/10 Pro is very primitive: in the future probably will also be implemented the full-screen gestures in the style of iPhone X, which we saw arriving on OnePlus 5T. We will return to update you on the development of this release.
