DDpai is a Chinese dashcam manufacturer. They currently have a couple of models on the market. I had the opportunity to test the DDpai Mini, which is their smallest offering to date. Initial impressions from unboxing the DDpai Mini was positive. The packaging was not of the generic sort that we’ve come to expect from Chinese manufacturers. The box, padding, printing, etc. were made specifically for this unit and everything seemed of high quality. A good amount of attention to detail was put into the overall presentation and design of the product.
Xiaomi has been known for their smartphones all over the world, however, they are also a home appliance company. Xiaomi makes a wide variety of products for home and office. Today we are gonna take a look at the Xiaomi DaFang Smart Home Camera. Smart home cameras are a common staple in every household these days, cameras ranging from very expensive closed circuit installations to affordable IP cameras, like the DaFang.
DDPAI Mini 1080p Mini / HD Car DVR
At first glance, it’s obvious the Mini has taken design cues from BlackVue with the minimalistic cylindrical body. Housed inside the unit is the Hisilicon Hi3516C chip with Sony IMX322 Exmor CMOS Sensor, which again, is similar to the hardware that BlackVue is using in their flagship units. The DDpai Mini features the usual dashcam functions such as auto start/stop, loop recording, and G sensor. Included with the unit, we find some key accessories such as an external WiFi remote, along with the right, angled USB cable, a DDpai branded dual USB Car Charger and an English (yes, that’s right) instruction manual. Once paired, the WiFi remote allows you to take photo snapshots, at any time, with the quick press of the button.

Xiaomi Dafang 1080P Smart IP Camera
The Xiaomi Dafang 1080P comes with a size of 12.75 x 6.60 x 6.00 centimeters which have incorporated a sensor capable of recording video with a quality of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a rate of 15 frames per second. It also incorporates 6 940nm infrared LEDs with which we can maintain security even in complete darkness. But what really stands out from this new model is its motorization that allows you to rotate the camera 360 degrees horizontally and 93 degrees vertically.
The angle of vision of the lens covers 120 degrees and is quite large, and with the inclusion of 4 layers of glass, it promises a clear image of everything in sight within a radius of about 9 meters. All this information can be stored in a Micro SD card of up to 32 Gbytes, in a USB disk through the rear connector or the more than predictable compatibility with the Samba system already used by other cameras in the Xiaomi MiJia environment. Other available functions are bidirectional communication with which we can maintain dialogues from our smartphone with the person on the other side of the camera, whether we have WiFi connection in our terminal or if it is a connection through the data of the same.
