AMD’s Ryzen 7 6800U is practically a “console god U,” and several Windows consoles have announced with this processor.
Today, domestic console brand GPD announced the WIN 4 console, which unsurprisingly also features a Ryzen 7 6800U processor, a native 6-inch landscape screen, around 500g in weight, 32GB of RAM optional, and 2TB SSD.
As can be seen from the official product pictures, the exterior design of WIN 4 is similar to SONY’s PSP. The overall appearance is round and the screen proportion is not too small, which is suitable for carrying outside.
It also features a slide-out keyboard, which slides up to reveal the physical keyboard, making it easier for users to navigate.
Elsewhere, the console has added 6-axis gyroscope support and dual Type-C ports for charging while connected to the display.
In addition, the new console has added a backclamp 4G LTE module, and will also add a backclamp SSD module, supporting both M.2 2230 and 2242 specifications.
The Windows 4 game console will go into private beta in October.
