For nearly two years, Google has been rumored to be launching its Pixel foldable phone, which could be called the Pixel Notepad. Today, a patent from Google further confirms the news.
According to 91Mobiles today, Google filed a WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) patent related to the foldable screen in June, and the patent was published today. The Pixel Notepad’s design is similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which folds horizontally inside, as shown in the patent image. But the Pixel Notepad has wider bezels in the patent image, which should make it look better.
In addition, the fold-screen phone has a selfie camera in the top bezel, rather than a bottom-screen camera like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4. The patent states that there will be a camera with an aperture in the frame of the flexible screen.
On August 5, digital blogger @Digitchat revealed that the rear module of the Google Pixel folding engineering machine is similar to that of the Google Pixel 7, and the front looks like OPPO Find N. The machine will adopt a relatively small size of the large screen transverse folding design, the outer screen is a single hole in the center, the inner screen is a full screen without holes, and the inner screen frame is equipped with an ultra-micro hole camera. The blogger’s revelations are consistent with the patent exposure, high credibility.
