Google has long been rumored to be bringing foldable phones to the Pixel line. Now, David Naranjo, senior director at Display Supply Chain Consultants, has revealed the expected release date for Google’s Pixel Fold phone is q4 2021.
David said that Google will launch the Pixel 6 series on October 19, and also revealed the phone’s appearance and specs. He went on to say that the Pixel Fold will most likely be the “one more thing” announced at the Pixel 6 launch event. And the phone, which was not mentioned at the October event, will also be available before the end of the year.
David also revealed that Google Pixel Fold will use an LTPO OLED display and will also feature Samsung’s foldable display technology with a 7.6-inch in-fold display.

The Tensor chip, developed by Google, will be used not only for the Pixel 6/Pro, but also for Pixel Fold phone. Google says the Tensor chip will put the Pixel 6 in the best Android phones, while making it one of the most secure smartphones in the world. The Pixel Fold phone will also support a 120Hz refresh rate.
