In Android 9 Pie, for the first time, we saw a new system control with gestures. But he does not have much success. Many users use classic buttons and most vendors have developed their own version of system control gestures. But in Android Q we should see the changes. One of them will be a new gesture for the back button. Finger-to-center coating will now be used.
It has previously been speculated that Google in Android Q will offer complete control over gestures. In the latest beta version of Android Q, this feature can be activated. However, it is still hidden for classic users. To show us a taste of the upcoming Google home is Mishaal Rahman of XDA, with a rather explanatory video of the new interface.
In the video above, however, you can see how the gesture itself will take place. This is essentially the same way that iPhone X / XS / XR or Huawei or Xiaomi phones are familiar to users. Gesture support is on both sides of the display, which is especially beneficial because the phones are constantly growing and it’s not easy to get one hand, on the other hand, so you can use the right side of the thumb for a gesture.
One of the things that must be taken into account that this is an experimental feature that in the final version of Android Q may not appear. Perhaps in a few weeks, we will learn how to do it at the Google I / O conference, where the company will present the main system news for users.
