Google announced a June 2023 update for the Pixel Watch today, but don’t panic if users haven’t already checked it out on their smartwatches, as Google says the update will be “rolled out in phases over the next week” and it doesn’t seem to offer any obvious new features, Only Bug fixes, security patches, and other improvements.
The release log notes that this update includes “the latest security patches, Bug fixes, and improvements for Pixel Watch users,” and the version number is rwdd.230605.004. Users can check to download the update by going to the Settings menu, then the System section, and then the System Update menu that pops up.
The current Pixel Watch runs Wear OS 3.5, but Google already announced its plans for Wear OS 4 and the future of the platform during Google I/O 2023, showing off its new Watch Face Format tool, This will make it easier for developers to design and maintain Wear OS dial faces, etc.
The Google Pixel Watch debuted at Google I/O 2022 in May 2022, and was released in October of that year for $349.99 (Note: Currently about 2,488 RMB), with a circular dial and unique strap connecting shaft, support deep Fitbit integration; Equipped with 294mAh battery, it can be used for 24 hours on a single charge and supports fast charging, which can be charged to 50% in 30 minutes.
