There have been rumors that Google will launch its own smartwatch Google Pixel Watch this year. In January, Google announced the acquisition of Fossil’s “innovative” smartwatch technology for watchmakers for $40 million. In the same month, Verily Study Watch received FDA approval for electrocardiogram (ECG) functionality, which is suitable for Prescription equipment for healthcare professionals and heart patients. Considering that Verily is a research organization owned by Google’s parent company Alpha Group, ECG may become a native feature of Wear OS and may be a feature of Google Pixel Watch
The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently granted a patent to Google to make another important part of the Pixel Watch puzzle come to the surface. Originally filed by Google in the second quarter of 2017, the patent involves a buckle that allows the user to press the button to open the buckle and quickly change the watch’s strap by using a buckle and a magnet, which allows it to be used in this respect. Apple’s Apple Watch series 4 is comparable. The illustrations in this patent show that Google Pixel Watch may have a round dial design.
Apple has turned Apple Watch into the world’s most popular smartwatch and plans to add new health features to the device. In order to compete with it, it is widely speculated that Google will equip its smartwatch with Google Assistant.

Although Google will hold an I/O conference in May, it is estimated that Google Pixel Watch will not be available until October. This is the time when the company has traditionally launched high-end Pixel devices, and it is time to introduce other new hardware, and this year’s launch may be the new smartwatch.
