The FCC certification agency recently unveiled the second-generation Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch by Google. This watch has also made an appearance in the Google Play Console device catalog, revealing some crucial specifications.
The Pixel Watch 2 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chip, promising a substantial performance upgrade over the original Exynos 9110.
Regarding memory, the Pixel Watch 2 will retain its 2GB capacity. The device will feature a circular 1.2-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 383 x 384 pixels, providing a screen density of 320 ppi.
As for the operating system, the Pixel Watch2 comes equipped with the WearOS 4 system, which is built upon Android 13. It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic stand as the pioneering Wear OS 4 smartwatches.
The Pixel Watch 2 offers three distinct models: G4TSL, GC368, and GD2WG. Among these, the G4TSL serves as a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi-enabled model, offering four strap options: a plastic active strap, a metal mesh strap, a metal chain strap, and a metal thin strap.
While the metal chain strap seems reminiscent of the first-generation Pixel Watch, the metal mesh strap is a newcomer, absent in the original version. The metal thin strap also appears to be a fresh addition to the lineup.
