The product update roadmap for Google’s Pixel series of mobile phones has been leaked. The series has made a lot of adjustments and will launch a new foldable screen. It is reported that Google may launch its first folding screen mobile phone in 2023, which may be named Google Pixel Fold or Pixel NotePad, with a horizontal folding design.
By 2025, Google will launch a vertically folding screen phone similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series, but whether to launch this new phone depends on whether Google Pixel Fold is recognized by users next year.
The Pixel 8 series will update and iterate the Tensor self-developed chip, and the rear main camera may use a 1/1.12-inch 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 that supports interlaced HDR image algorithms.
It is worth mentioning that Google’s mid-range Pixel series may not be updated every year. If sales are not good, it may be updated every two years, or it may completely cancel the new series.
In 2024, Google will launch the Pixel 9 series. In addition to the standard version and Pro version, it will also launch a small-sized Pro model, which will be equipped with the fourth-generation Tensor self-developed chip.
