Two months later, in sunny California, in the small town of Mountain View, under the dome of the Shoreline amphitheater, the annual Google I / O 2023 conference will be held, at which the company will present its new products. Among them is the much anticipated Google Pixel 7a smartphone, which is the successor to the Google Pixel 6a, aimed at the middle segment of the market.
Prior to its official debut, some information regarding the new device has already been leaked online. It is speculated that the product’s design and dimensions will be copied from its older brother, Google Pixel 7. Additionally, it is expected to inherit the Google Tensor G2 system-on-chip, LPDDR5 memory, and UFS 3.1 storage from its predecessor.
The upcoming Google Pixel 7a is expected to feature a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, along with a dual rear camera that includes a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The former boasts low-light photography capabilities and a wide dynamic range (WDR). In addition, the device will support wireless charging up to 5 watts, and it will run on the Android 13 operating system.
Previously, a leaked image of the protective case shows that the Pixel 7a has a body size of 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0, with a USB Type-C port at the bottom, but no 3.5mm headphone port. Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 7a at this year’s I/O conference.
