By now, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro mobiles with the Tensor system chip, which are unveiled this fall, will be admittedly good, but that doesn’t mean Google won’t launch a more affordable smartphone this year. Now we have received fresh information about the Google Pixel 5a model, which has been rumored for a long time, according to the news it will be unveiled on August 26 and will cost $450.
If all is true, the Google Pixel 5a comes with a 6.4-inch screen with a frame rate of 90 Hz. That would make the 5a larger than the Pixel 5, which has a 6-inch display. There is no information about the resolution, it is probably Full HD. Inside the Pixel 5a, the Snapdragon 765G is said to be the same processor as the Pixel 5.
The Pixel 5a is said to have a battery with a nominal charge of 4650mAh, which would be slightly larger than the Pixel 5 – probably due to the larger screen. Users will probably not charge the new smartphone wirelessly, only via a USB-C cable. The Pixel 5, on the other hand, can be charged wirelessly.
There is also a difference in the memory configuration: The Pixel 5a comes with 6GB of RAM, which is 2GB less than the Pixel 5. There is no information about the size of the flash memory yet. The camera is said to be the same as the Pixel 5, which has two lenses – a wide-angle and a super-wide-angle lens. The Pixel 5a should be protected against water and dust according to IP67 and have a jack connection for headphones.
In terms of design, the Pixel 5a shouldn’t differ much from the Pixel 5. According to the informant, the Pixel 5a will only be offered in the USA and Japan. Google plans to launch the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in the fall.
