Eight days before the official presentation, absolutely all the technical details of Google Pixel 5 are leaking, which is also presented via renderings intended for the press, displays much more pleasing characteristics than one imagined when learning that it would not have a high-end SoC.
Roland Quandt does it again and has shared in WinFuture almost all the details of the next Google flagship. The report includes a couple of images that confirm its front design with a hole in the screen for the camera, but strangely, the back of the device is not shown. However, previous leaks showed the return to the rear fingerprint sensor, and square camera module, details practically confirmed later by a photo.
Returning to the report, Quandt confirms all the previously leaked technical details. The Pixel 5 will have a 6-inch OLED screen with FullHD + resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and HDR support, with the aforementioned hole in the upper left corner for the 8MP selfie camera. The entire panel will be protected by a Gorilla Glass 6 cover.
Quandt mentions that due to the integration of the sensor on the back and not on the front, embedded in the screen, Google achieves a considerable reduction of the lower frame of the device.
As it has been leaked many times before, the Pixel 5 will switch to Google’s focus, to focus entirely on photography instead of power, with a Snapdragon 765G chipset, commonly used in the upper-mid-range, instead of power. raw of the Snapdragon 865/865 +, but with integrated 5G connectivity. This dragon heart will be assisted by 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and pure Android 11.
The cameras, the most important aspect of Pixel 5, will have only one change compared to previous generations. The main sensor will be the well-known 12.2MP with aperture f / 1.7 and DualPixel, signed by Sony, with phase detection autofocus, 1.4-micron pixels, and optical stabilization (OIS) and electronic (EIS) image. The novelty will be in the second sensor, which will go from being a telephoto to an ultra-wide angle of 16MP f / 2.2 with a field of view of 107 degrees.
Quandt mentions that the Google Pixel 5 will be powered by a 4080mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB Type-C, and wireless. Stereo speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and a glass and aluminum body with IP68 certification, close the characteristics of the Pixel 5. It will now be a matter of waiting until September 30 to find out the launch price of this new model which, let us remember, should be accompanied by a Pixel 4a 5G.
