Igeekphone July 19 news, science and technology media Android Authority published a blog post today, saying that Google plans to further optimize the charging experience in the Android 15 system, which can allow users of Pixel series mobile phones to set a charging limit of 80%.
Adaptive charging
In December 2020, Google released an update to the Pixel Feature Drop feature, introducing “Adaptive Charging” for Pixel phones, which limits charging up to 80% based on the alarm clock.
Users who charge their phone between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., and whose alarm is set between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m., will only charge their phone to 80 percent before the alarm goes off, and continue charging to 100 percent after the alarm goes off.
Google improved the feature last year, no longer based on alarm Settings, but based on the user’s charging habits.
The charging limit is set at 80%
In the Android 15 Beta 4 update, a new string has appeared in the SystemUI app that can limit the phone’s charging limit to 80%, thereby improving battery life.
According to the code within the application, the “Charge Optimization” page will be located under “Settings “>” Battery” and there will be a “Use Charge Optimization” switch.
When enabled, two radio buttons will appear on the page, allowing users to choose between the existing “Adaptive charging” mode or the new “Limit to 80%” mode, which is attached to the screenshot below:
