Google has released Android 12 Beta 3 update to Pixel phones as an “incremental beta-quality release” and developers are advised to continue compatibility testing.
Android 12 Beta 3 has an early release of the API 31 SDK for developers to facilitate early testing.
In addition, Android 12 Beta 3 brings a “scrolling screenshot” or “long screenshot” feature that Google expects to be available in most standard UIs, while apps with highly customized UIs can be adapted using the new ScrollCapture API.
As igeekphone understands, Android 12 Beta 3 also features a number of detailed improvements.
For example, the front-facing camera can determine the user’s posture to determine whether or not to rotate automatically, which is a good feature for users who are lying down on their phone. Google indicates that this feature will only compute locally, and there will be no “save or upload” behavior.
