Yesterday, Google has released the first developer preview version of Android 11. Bringing with new features such as new air gestures, continuous flight mode Bluetooth and reverse wireless charging. Today, XDA developers found a new category named ” QSColorController ” in the SystemUI of Android 11. It is responsible for the color of the icons in the “Quick Settings” panel.
The developer changed the color of each “Quick Settings” icon through some debugging commands referenced in the code.
As we can see above, the colors of the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb Mode, Auto Rotate, and Power Saving Mode icons are different from the colors of the conventional theme. We have learned that with the help of debug commands. Developers can change the default color of certain icons to yellow, red, and green. However, Google may add more colors in the future.
Google is expected to extend the Pixel Themes app for Android 11 with this additional feature, and may also allow developers to customize the shortcut settings icon, which is also enabled in the emulator of Android Studio, some developers say. So it is not only for some of the first supported Pixel phones.
