Garmin today announced the launch of the GPSMAP 67 Series and eTrex SE handheld GPS units, bringing three new devices with a maximum battery life of 1800 hours on a full charge and Multi-GNSS support.
Garmin’s GPSMAP 67 and GPSMAP 67i support multi-band positioning, which can improve positioning accuracy through multiple frequencies. The devices feature 3-inch color displays that are easy to read even when outdoors.
Both handheld GPS devices are powered by lithium-ion batteries and have a battery life of 180 hours in standard or 840 hours in expedition mode.
Both handheld GPS devices can also be pre-loaded with TopoActive Maps and satellite images, and premium maps are available with an Outdoor Maps+ subscription.
The main difference between the 67 and the 67i is the two-way inReach technology offered by the latter, which allows users to reach family and friends without mobile phone service. The tool can also connect you to the Garmin Response Center in case of an emergency.
The entry-level eTrex SE features a smaller 2.2-inch display and is powered by two AA batteries, providing 168 hours in standard mode and 1,800 hours in Adventure mode.
All gadgets can be paired with a variety of compatible smartphones via the Garmin Explore app for Live weather, Geocaching Live and smart notifications.
The selling price information of the three products is as follows:
The Garmin GPSMAP 67 is priced at $499.99.
The Garmin GPSMAP 67i is priced at $599.99.
Garmin eTrex SE retails for $149.99 (Note: about 1035 RMB at present)
