Samsung is expected to release Galaxy Watch 5 series in August after a one-year hiatus. The collection is now available on Samsung’s official support page.
According to Roland Quandt, Samsung has released three versions of the Galaxy Watch 5 series on Belgian, Danish and Norwegian websites, as follows:
Sm-r905f: Galaxy Watch5 40mm
Sm-r915f: Galaxy Watch5 44mm
Sm-r925f: Galaxy Watch5 Pro 45mm
It’s worth noting that these models vary depending on the configuration, such as the “0” ending in the Bluetooth version of the Galaxy Watch 4 series (SM-R880). It is also the first time that Samsung has changed its model to start with “SM-R9”, which has been used since the launch of the Galaxy Watch in 2018.
The support page provides no additional information. However, 3D renderings of the Galaxy Watch5 series have already been exposed, showing that Galaxy Watch 5 will come in white, black and grey. Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will come in black or grey titanium and will eliminate the rotating bezel. Meanwhile, the FCC certification shows that the Charging power of Galaxy Watch5 series is 10W (2A / 5V), and the 40mm and 44mm versions of Samsung Galaxy Watch5 will be equipped with 276mAh and 397mAh batteries respectively. The Watch 5 Pro will come with a 572mAh battery.

In addition to the battery capacity increase, Samsung Galaxy Watch5 series will also be significantly more expensive. According to OnLeaks, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 starts at around 2,125 yuan, $317 while the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro starts at around 3,471 yuan,$518. Systemically, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 is expected to be powered by a wearOS 3.5-based Samsung One UI Watch 4.5, which was leaked via @evLeaks with numerous screenshots, Screenshots show the Galaxy Watch 5 may be able to switch SIM cards while dialing.
