With about two months to go before the official launch of the Galaxy S23 series, the latest news suggests that the standard versions of Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will not suffer in terms of performance. The screen and battery won’t shrink either, except with a fully powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
igeekphone has learned that Samsung is not currently planning a differentiated layout for the Galaxy S23 line of models similar to Apple’s iPhone, but instead will have the same core specs across the line, with no reduction in processor, screen or battery.
According to source Ahmed Qwaider, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 + and Galaxy S23 Ultra all feature Super AMOLED screens with a maximum brightness of 1750 nits. Although the screen brightness is lower than the rumored 2000nits, it’s nice to see the standard model with the same screen as the Ultra.
In addition, the standard Galaxy S23 model has an improved battery capacity. Galaxy S23 comes with a 3900mAh battery that can be charged up to 25W. Galaxy S23+ battery has been upgraded to 4700mAh, which means both models have 200mAh more than their predecessors.

Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery and will support 45W fast charging. Ahmed also claims that all three phones will run One UI 5.1, based on Android 13, out of the box and have an improved cooling solution for better sustained performance. All three models have 12-megapixel (40-megapixel) front-facing cameras with dual-pixel autofocus.
