Fosi Audio has introduced its i5 headphones, emphasizing lightweight diaphragm technology and ergonomic design for enhanced comfort. Marketed toward both music producers and audiophiles, the headphones integrate a 97mm driver unit with an ultra-thin 2μm diaphragm. The design employs sputtering coating technology paired with an acoustically damped rear cavity to optimize performance. Additionally, each driver features 22 symmetrically positioned N50-grade neodymium magnets, engineered to minimize distortion and enhance audio clarity.
Focusing on ergonomic comfort, the i5 model incorporates a dual-axis hinge system, enabling vertical and horizontal adjustments to accommodate diverse head shapes. The headband utilizes memory metal that gradually conforms to the user’s unique head contour. Aesthetic details include a walnut wood ear cup exterior, with Fosi Audio noting that each unit’s wood grain pattern is distinct. The driver housing, crafted from CNC-machined aluminum, showcases an S-curve accent for a sleek finish.
Connectivity options include a detachable cable with both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced jack choices, catering to standard audio devices and high-fidelity systems. The removable cable design allows users to easily swap or upgrade cords.
According to Fosi Audio’s website, the i5 headphones are scheduled for release on April 22, though pricing details remain undisclosed.
