Igeekphone, December 27 news, technology media smartprix published a blog post today (December 27), sharing a rendering of the OnePlus Open 2 (corresponding to the domestic OPPO Find N5), and revealed the key specifications of this foldable screen phone.
In terms of appearance, the OnePlus Open 2 adopts a new design, the body is larger, but thinner than the previous generation, and continues to retain the “Oreo” circular camera module, and the built-in Hasselblad certified three-camera system.
When folded, the OnePlus Open 2 is less than 10mm thick, and its waterproof rating has been improved to IPX8, significantly better than the IPX4 of its predecessor.
In terms of configuration, the news said that the One Plus Open 2 is expected to be equipped with an 8-inch 2K LTPO 120Hz main screen and 6.4-inch AMOLED external screen, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme SoC, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage space.
In terms of imaging, the foldable phone has a rear three-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom, and a 32-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual-camera scheme on the front.
In terms of battery, the battery capacity is increased to 5900mAh, supporting 80W wired fast charge and 50W wireless fast charge (the original OnePlus Open does not support wireless charging), and the OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 is pre-installed.
Igeekphone previously reported that Zhou Yibao, head of OPPO Find series of products, revealed that the release time of a new generation of large folding screen mobile phones is “the spring season”, and it is estimated that it will be launched globally in the second quarter of 2025.
