Huawei has already fully completed the release of EMUI 10.1, which means it can throw all its free forces into creating a new firmware based on EMUI 11. Just over a week ago, Huawei began the EMUI 11 beta test program in Europe. Today the program starts in China with an expanded list of approved models. There are ten device models participating in the EMUI 11 beta test:
- Huawei P40 Pro +
- Huawei Mate 30
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro
- Huawei Mate 30 5G
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G
- Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design
- Huawei MatePad Pro
- Huawei MatePad Pro 5G
Huawei warns that the beta version may contain bugs, and rollback to the previous firmware version will only be available after testing ends. Accordingly, if you are not ready for possible errors or inconveniences when using your smartphone, then it is better to wait until the stable version is released.
Recall, the EMUI 11 shell is based on Android 11 and has received most of the features implemented in this OS update from Google, as well as Huawei proprietary add-ons and applications.
EMUI 11 adds support for Always-on Display to smartphones with a constant display of the time on the screen, improved Multi Window function (split-screen with multiple windows), synchronous editing of notes simultaneously from different devices at the same time, and smoother transition animations.
