In September, the Huawei began the deployment of EMUI 10, the new version of its software based on Android 10, starting with the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, and promising that the owners of the other models would not have to wait too long.
And so it has been. Just a few weeks after the launch of Android 10, Huawei has expanded the availability of the beta program for 8 new Smartphones, including the Huawei Mate 20 series, as well as some Honor phones.
As I said, the list of new terminals compatible with EMUI 10 beyond the Huawei P30 – and of course, the Mate 30 that reach the market with this version inside – is made up of eight different models as pointed out in Huawei Central. They are the following:
- Huawei Mate 20
- Huawei Mate 20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design
- Huawei Mate 20 X (4G)
- Honor 20
- Honor 20 Pro
- Honor V20
- Honor Magic 2
In the case of Huawei models, the new version of the software arrives signed as EMUI 10, while Honor terminals receive Magic UI 3.0, in both cases in beta form. Even so, it is roughly the same hardware and there are hardly any differences in terms of design or functionality.
Among all the novelties of EMUI 10, we are left with the new dark theme, the renewed system interface, and improved overall performance thanks to systems such as Turbo Link and EROFS. In addition, all the new features of Android 10 presented by Google are included.
How to sign up for the EMUI 10 beta program
As in previous years, Huawei has started a beta program to which all those users who wish to try the new version in advance can easily sign up – you have to keep in mind, of course, that the number of participants is limited. To do this, it is necessary to follow these steps:
- Download and install the Huawei Beta App on your mobile
- Open the application, accept the terms and conditions and login with your Huawei ID
- Access the “Personal” section through the shortcuts bar at the bottom of the app.
- If available, a menu with the title “Join Project” will appear. Click on it.
- Touch the “Available Project” option and log in.
Once the update search process is finished, it will start downloading when it is available and will finally be installed on the device. If everything went well, the phone will restart and you can start enjoying EMUI 10 and Android 10 on your Huawei.
