Elephone is a Chinese company that is very active in the development of cheap smartphones. Among these Elephone P8 Mini is a particularly interesting product because it even lowers the price bracket by keeping the “high” technical data sheet.
Design
The Elephone P8 Mini is a relatively compact smartphone, made with a plastic shell and with a metal back. It does not add any particular firmness to the product, but at least allows it to provide a more modern look and also to ensure a better-perceived quality of touch. The physical, power, and volume buttons are positioned on the right side and are pressed with simplicity.
Hardware
The Elephone P8 Mini has a relatively modest processor, a MediaTek MT6750T 1.5GHz octa-core with GPU Mali T860. Nothing to tatter your clothes. However, we have 4 GB of RAM and even 64 GB of expandable internal memory. These quantities instead “whiten” all other competitors in the same price range, surely giving them some interest. Discrete connectivity: we have LTE at 150 Mbps and also dual bandwidth Wi-Fi a / b / g / n. Bluetooth stops at 4.0 and lacks both the NFC and the notification LED. Instead, we find dual-SIM support (as an alternative to expandable memory) and a large number of sensors, including gyroscopes and compasses., Finally there is a fingerprint reader at the back: not fast in unlocking but still does its job well.
Camera
The Main camera is a modest 13 megapixel, associated with a second 2-megapixel sensor for field depth calculation. Let’s go straight away as the shot with the second sensor is just a marketing find and that in essence is completely useless. The photos will, in fact, have a generic circle blur around the central area, without taking into account in any way the presence or absence of a subject in the foreground. Other shots are enough, but this is certainly not the camera you would think when talking about “dual camera”. The software is not particularly fast and the quality of what we achieve just comes to the sufficiency. Same consideration also for full HD video and 16-megapixel front camera.
Display
The Elephone P8 Mini comes with a 5 “display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen supports 5 touches and is quite responsive, although it is not impossible to notice any lost touch during writing. It is not even particularly bright or very oleophobic (better to keep the film supplied). All in all, however, is an honorable screen for the category, but nothing worth spending more.
Software
In the Elephone P8 Mini pre-installed Android to version 7.0 within this smartphone, though without really working on it. This is, again, the classic Mediatek Incarnation of Android 7.0 Nougat. There are no special features worthy of note, although it’s fair to say that the apprehensive Android multiwindows mode is always in place. We also have the ability to turn off and turn on the smartphone at a programmed time. For the rest, there is nothing else to add except that the system is fluid in daily operations and that some limit is only found when we bring to the limit the modest hardware. Surely it is not a smartphone to buy for gaming or for demanding operations.
Battery
The Non-Removable Battery of the Elephone P8 Mini is a 2860 mAh. Despite being an “important” battery in terms of capacity, however, we do not find the expected autonomy. It is difficult with medium or medium-intensity use to end a full day. The smartphone will probably end the battery in advance. Better if the use is more moderate and, at least in theory, even more in line with what one would expect from a similar product.

Conclusion
Also, the device has been built well, not only gets you a screen protector that the manufacturer has even put on it, you also get a transparent case. And as if that was not enough, I’ve never got such a good charger from China. The thing is solid, has some weight and it is very nice not to fear for your life when you do the thing in the socket. Also, the cable is above average, a sturdy somewhat stiff cable that fits well with the phone.Elephone P8 Mini Available at COOLICOOL at just of $179.99 on a Flash Sale.(Free Shipping From EU Warehouse).
