MIUI 8.5 Global Stable update starts rolling out to various Xiaomi Mi & Redmi smartphones. It is a next major update after MIUI 8.2 which was released for most of the Xiaomi smartphones early this year. As of now, the update is released for Mi Max 2, but soon it gets supported for various Xiaomi models including Redmi Note 4/4X, Mi5/Mi5s, Mi Mix, Redmi 4/4A/4X, Mi Note 2, and more.
Coming to MIUI 8.5 features, there is still no changelog released by the company. We’ll update once official changelog is released. Till then, refer the below table to download Xiaomi MIUI 8.5 Global Stable ROM.

How to install MIUI 8.5 Global Stable ROM on Xiaomi phones:
If you’re on latest version of Global Stable ROM, then you’ll soon see an Update pop-up on your device notification bar. Users can also check manually from Settings > About phone > System Updates. If you’re one among those users who can’t wait for the OTA update and wanted to experience the MIUI 8.5 update right away, then download Recovery ROM from the above download section and install it via recovery mode.
But there are certain users who have flashed Custom ROM or any other Chinese ROM and doesn’t receive OTA update. For all those users, you need to flash MIUI 8.5 fastboot ROM via Mi Flash Tool. You can check the below link for complete flashing tutorial.
