Igeekphone August 1 news, DJI is about to launch a new drone Neo was leaked, according to the exposed photos, packaging boxes, parameters and Walmart pricing information, this drone is expected to become the lightest and cheapest full-featured drone under DJI.
The leaked Walmart product page shows that the DJI Neo Fly More package is priced at only $329 (Igeekphone note: Currently about 2,385 yuan). Given that the kit often includes an extra battery, charger and shoulder bag, the starting price for a separate drone could be lower.
Photos of the retail packaging posted on social media by whistleblower Jasper Ellens, along with information from the FCC database, further shed light on the drone’s parameters, which will support 4K video shooting.
Weighing just 135g, the drone is expected to be DJI’s lightest consumer drone to date, lighter than the 249g DJI Mini SE. It is worth mentioning that the Neo is equipped with a propeller guard, which improves the safety of indoor use. In addition, the fuselage is also equipped with a one-click button to change the flight mode.
While the “Fly More” package includes a remote control, the box mentions multiple controls and says the drone can take off and land hand-held. Combined with the mode switch button on the body and the “AI subject tracking” function, users may be able to start the drone and take selfies without a remote control. At present, information about battery life and wireless transmission distance has not been disclosed.
Unlike the DJI Mini series, the Neo doesn’t seem to be able to fold into a smaller size, and its shape is closer to that of the DJI Avata FPV drone. This may mean that Neo can fly from a first-person perspective by connecting to an AvatA-compatible headset.
As for the release date, Ellens speculated that if the product photos are true, DJI could release the Neo drone within a few weeks.
