Igeekphone, January 3 news, news sources Igor Bogdanov and Jasper Ellens yesterday (January 2) tweeted on the X platform, sharing the latest spy photos of the DJI MAVIC 4 drone, you can see the unique spherical camera system, Hints at a major update for the series in terms of cameras.
Newly leaked images of the Mavic 4’s flight provide the first clear glimpse of its unique spherical camera system, consisting of a three-camera array mounted on a circular head, with a suspected 24mm equivalent lens for the main camera and two secondary cameras below.
This configuration continues the multi-camera scheme of the Mavic 3 Pro, but the innovative spherical housing design may significantly increase the flexibility of the head, in addition to the built-in ND filter system and the extended head range of -90° to +80°, which will be more attractive to professional aerial photographers and mappers.
Previous FCC documents show that the Mavic 4 will be equipped with a more powerful 95.3Wh battery, a 5.4% increase over the previous generation. In addition, the Mavic 4 will also support RTK positioning technology, which is usually a feature of enterprise UAV platforms such as the Matrice 30.
Combined with DJI’s previous product launch patterns, DJI may release the MAVIC 4 drone in the first quarter of 2025.
