The most feared thing about playing with drones is “flying planes”. Due to improper operation or device failure and other factors, the drones fall to the ground abnormally. Recently, some drone players took the initiative to “fry the plane” and used the DJI Air 2 to conduct a 500-meter-altitude stop propeller test.
As we all know, the flight altitude of DJI drones is limited to 500 meters. After flying to 500 meters, the altitude will be displayed in red and cannot continue to rise.
The man raised the DJI Air 2 to an altitude of 500 meters and then stopped the propellers. The drone fell straight to the ground and took 30 seconds to fall. He tried to re-rotate the propellers to see if he could save the drone, but it was in vain.
Surprisingly, after falling to the ground, the DJI Air 2 blades remained intact, but the battery was thrown out and the gimbal was broken. It can still fly normally after installing the battery and turning it on.
It is understood that DJI’s “Exchange as you like” provides two replacement rights in one year, including one opportunity for flight loss protection. In the face of multiple accidents such as water entry, collision, flying loss, etc., the damaged/flying lost product can be replaced with a new product or a product with the same performance and reliability as the new product by paying the corresponding replacement fee. DJI Air 2 paid around $68 for the first replacement, and about $86 for the second time.
