Earlier this month, Coolpad issued a profit warning, forecasting revenue of about HK $206 million in 2022, down 69% from HK $665 million in 2021, as sales of its mid-year handset launches fell short of expectations due to a sluggish mobile market and fierce competition.
Throughout 2022, Coolpad has released only one new model, the COOL 20s. Now, in 2023, Coolpad launched a new device, the Coolpad 40s.
It is reported that Coolpad 40s is equipped with Mediatek Breguet 700 5G processor, 7nm technology, octa-core CPU architecture, Mali-G57 GPU, and positioned as an entry-level chip.
The screen is a 6.52-inch LCD with a resolution of just 1600 by 720 and a pixel density of 450 PPI.
The Coolpad 40s features 5-megapixel front lens, 13-megapixel main lens and 2-megapixel auxiliary lens, a 4500mAh battery, side fingerprint support, and unexpected NFC support.
In terms of price, the Coolpad 40s 4GB+128GB model costs 1,399 yuan, the 6GB+128GB model costs 1,699 yuan, and the 8GB+256GB model costs 2,099 yuan.
