Recently, Chuwi introduced its new device called the LarkBox, which, according to her, is the smallest mini-PC in the world with the ability to decode 4K video and perform all the functions of a modern computer. Chuwi LarkBox has an Intel N4100 processor, 6GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. So it is suitable for a wide variety of usage scenarios.
An apple-sized mini PC
With dimensions and weight equal to 61 x 61 x 43 mm and 127 grams. Chuwi LarkBox is indicated by the company as the smallest mini PC in the world. In fact, by taking a meter in hand, we can easily get an idea of the compactness of this computer. With a rather square shape with four rounded corners, Chuwi LarkBox has a minimal and no-frills design.
Ultra-compact size for a variety of use
In fact, thanks to VESA support, Chuwi LarkBox can be placed on the back of a screen or TV to watch movies, TV series and videos up to 4K resolution. The idle power consumption of just 5 W is also good. Ports and connectivity side we find two USB Type-A ports, 1 USB Type-C port, 1 HDMI port, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
Intel N4100, 6GB RAM and 128GB SSD
Inside there is an Intel N4100 CPU flanked by 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 128GB SSD. Meanwhile, it supports an additional 128GB MicroSD extension. So its maximum performance is equivalent to a small desktop PC capable of delivering high performance and entertainment.
The smallest 4K mini-PC
The Mini PC can decode 4K @ 60fps without problems and, thanks to the low power processor (TDP of only 6W), ensures a high level of energy efficiency in standby. Despite its small size and low-power chip, Chuwi LarkBox hides a small cooling fan, which will help control internal temperatures even under high loads.
