CHUWI HiGame was up on Indiegogo for crowdfunding 10 days ago, now has raised about $340,000 from over 353 backers, about 700% exceeding from their goal. As far as the campaign goes, lots of backers commented on the campaign expecting higher RAM and more storage. CHUWI always listens to their customers and proof can be seen from the CoreBook campaign before. Now they are announcing an update.
on the campaign, which is, when the fundraiser reaches to $600,000, they will upgrade the storage from 128GB SSD to 256GB SSD in the I5 version, and upgrade the RAM from 8GB RAM to 16GB RAM in I7 version. So all the existing backers and future backers can get a revised HiGame as long as it hits the goal.
This is a good news if you are either a gamer or a creator and interested in mini-sized PC. The campaign will run for 2 months and the shipment will start in August. So it’s a chance we can expect delivery of HiGame with specifications as below:
The Chuwi HiGame comes with an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL or GH graphics card on the same chip as 4GB HBM2, 8GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable with 2x DDR4 SO-DIMM slots) and storage 128GB or 256GB M.2 SSD (expandable with 1x M.2 SATA SSD slot + 1x 2.5 “SATA HDD / SSD). For the power of the processor, it will fully support 4K @ 60fps Ultra HD.
