Design

Huawei has used for this MediaPad M2 a 10.1-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and a density of 226ppi. It is a display of good quality, able to reproduce the colors, thanks to ClearVU technology , and also offers good visibility outdoors. Through the settings you can adjust the color temperature. Chuwi has gone familiar for Chuwi Hi10 Plus design. It has a similar design to  the company’s aging Vi10 Plus. However, it has been improved a bit and the aluminium frame makes the tablet look premium. The aluminium finish gives some serious sturdiness to the tablet and makes it easier to hold. However, the Hi10 Plus weighs 0.686 kg which is really heavy considering it is a 10.8” 3:2 tablet. If you hold the tablet for several minutes while lying in bed your arm will get tired very quickly because of the awkward ratio. The processor used by Huawei for this tablet is a HISILICON Kirin 930 , an octa-64-bit core with big.LITTLE technology (Quad 2.0GHz + Quad 1.5GHz), with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU to 680 MHz and 3GB of memory RAM which allow the system to be fast and enjoyable to use. Even the gaming industry gets along very well with our reference titles that manage to be played maximum graphic detail with a frame rate high enough. Even after the use of games and applications that require heavy usage you feel just a slight warming on the back.

Hi10 Plus is powered by the Intel X5-Z8350 processor. This processor offers four cores running at a standard speed of 1.44 GHz, with burst frequency 1.92 GHz, with no Hyper Threading feature. The x5-Z8350 atom itself is part of the Cherry Trail processor family, with 14 nm fabrication, and carries the 2 Watt Design Power Scheme (SDP). This device comes with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM running at 1066 MHz. Tablet 2-in-1 offers only single channel RAM configuration, because the processor used only supports the configuration. There is no option of adding RAM capacity available on this 2-in-1 tablet because Chuwi uses a soldered DRAM chip onto the motherboard, without providing a DIMM / SO-DIMM slot for additional RAM chips.

Storage used on chuwi Hi10 Plus 2-in-1 tablet is eMMC with 64 GB capacity. Chuwi split the storage into multiple partitions, including a 45 GB partition for Windows 10, a 9 GB partition for Remix OS, and some partition recovery. Both operating systems in this tablet do not share data at all, with each operating system can only access its own partition. The wireless connectivity options available on this 2-in-1 tablet are just WiFi and Bluetooth. For WiFi, the standard supported by Hi10 Plus is only 802.11 b / g / n with a 2.4 GHz single-band radio only. As for the Bluetooth, no definitive mention of the Bluetooth version supported 2-in-1 tablet is.
