We have mention many times Umi, as a good company, mainly for budget mobiles and not only. Yesterday arrived to me from Geekbuying, Umi London, a luxurious budget mobile that anyone can get.
Umi London is one of these devices that might be at a low price, but if you don’t know it, you will not understand it for sure. If you check and the images below as and the video presentation, you will agree with me. Only by examining the mobile, one easily understand how much care the company gave to its design. You can see small detail that make a big difference in the final outlook, like the intensive bend at the edges of the back or the beautiful rounded angles. On the other side, looking at such a luxurious outfit, one for sure will not understand how much rugged the mobile is, with special additions under the covers to sustain any hard situations it might fall in.
Umi London comes with a 5 inch display, with 1280 x 720 pixel screen resolution made from Sharp. For protection of the glass, there is a double cover from 2.5D glass T2X-1, while inside the metal skeleton, there is a double layer of special protective foam made from 3M.
The processor of the Umi London is not for sure any high-end, but the Quadcore MT6580 from Mediatek cloaked at 1.3GHz, does miracles. For GPU has a Mali 400 which does a very good job. For memory has only 1GB RAM and for the internal storage we have 8GB. The good thing is that takes an extra TF card up to 32GB. Also take under consideration that the slot of the TF card is not in the place of one a SIM. For main rear camera has a 8MP with IMX149 sensor from Sony and LED Flash. The camera at the front is a 2MP.
The Umi London has for battery a detachable 2050mAh battery, which might no hear as too big, but for these specs is more than enough. The Umi London takes 2 SIM and as we mentioned, and the TF card at the same time, something that very very little mobiles have it.
Umi London comes out in black and gold. Runs almost pure Android 6.0, something very good as keeps the mobile clean and fast.
You can find the Umi London either at TomTop for the price of 64.99$ at Flash sales or in stock notice at Geekbuying, from where I initially got it, for 67.89$. There is and a third option, as you can get it for free, if you join the Giveaway that runs here at this Greek Site, which uses a participation form in English.
