Igeekphone news on February 17, news source @MajinBuOfficial recently tweeted, sharing a metal casting of a camera module, claiming to be used in the basic model of Apple iPhone 16, and basically confirming the use of vertical arrangement.
Although the user pointed out in response to Bu’s post that the picture of the part was posted upside down, this does not affect the authenticity of the part itself.
Foreign technology media MacRumors verified the authenticity of the camera module through other sources. The outlet said through its industry sources that it confirmed @MajinBuOfficial as the main camera module for the I-34 camera project, which will be used in the base model iPhone 16 released later this year.
IT House quoted MacRumors on February 7 this year, sharing the design of the Apple iPhone 16 standard version camera module, saying that the prototype uses a vertically arranged camera design, and the raised part is in the shape of a pill.
The pill-shaped camera module retains the dual camera ring design of the previous prototype for wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses, respectively. It is worth mentioning that the vertically aligned camera design has remained consistent throughout the prototyping process, even in the latest version, the position of the flash and camera lens has not changed.
