According to media reports, the new generation of BMW M5 (seventh generation) and its M Performance Parts (MPP) high-performance suite have been officially released by BMW.

In terms of power, the new generation BMW M5 uses the same plug-in hybrid system as the BMW XM, consisting of a 4.4-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine and electric motor, with a combined maximum output of 535 kW, a peak torque of 1,000 N · m, and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds. The WLTP electric range is between 67-69 km.
