Blackview has made another device announcement today. After the Blackview R7 and BV6000S, it is time for the Blackview A8 Max to take its place among the company’s inventory. As its name suggests, it is a large device with a 5.5″ display.
The device is equipped with the new MT6737 SoC that carries 4 64-bit Cortex-A53 cores tuned at 1.3GHz along with Mali T720 GPU, a combination that ensures good performance with low power consumption. Considering the fact that we are talking about a 720p display and 2GB RAM installed, the device will for sure run like a breeze, especially since it runs Android 6 out-of-the-box. The internal storage is 16GB and you can further add 64GB more via the microSD card slot that is present. As far as the build quality is concerned, the device is plastic but it is based on metal frame architecture that makes it sturdier.
Of course, there is support for 4G/LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 and dual-SIM/dual stand-by support. There is even FM Radio receiver, something that is more and more less frequent in new devices. All the above are powered by a 3,000mAh battery that should be enough for 1.5-2 days of usage. It will be available in three colors, Pearl White, Champagne Gold and Violet Black and pre-sale starts on August 8th and ends on August 20th.
