Besides the Xiaomi 12 series, the phone manufacturer from China – Xiaomi seems to be developing a new Black Shark 5 series. Today, a source from the famous leaker Digital Chat Station has just shared with us quite interesting information regarding the next gaming phones of Xiaomi.
Specifically, in the latest post on Weibo, the famous leaker Digital Chat Station has just revealed that Xiaomi’s next Black Shark 5 gaming phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 898 processor and an SSD + internal memory cluster UFS 3.1. This information is not surprising because the Black Shark 4S Pro now also uses the same memory configuration.
AnTuTu has recently revealed its latest Android flagship mobile performance rankings, which shows that the Black Shark 4S Pro is still in first place with 875,902 points. Based on detailed running score data, the main scores for the Black Shark 4S Pro are the MEM scores, almost the highest score in the entire list.
The biggest reason for this is that Black Shark 4S Pro uses an SSD+UFS 3.1 flash memory combination. The SSD storage solution is the same NVME protocol that everyone knows on the PC side, which is a huge bonus.
Previously, Black Shark claims that the SSD memory disk array system can improve read performance by 55%. The company also claims that it can improve write performance by 69%. Of course, the comparison is relative to other smartphones in the industry.
Come back to the Black Shark 5, according to previous rumors, Black Shark 5 will have model number KTUS-A0. Some sources note that Xiaomi’s new gaming phone will come with 100W+ fast charging. Since the Black Shark 4 series already comes with 120W fast charging support, we can expect its successor to have essentially the same 120W charging.
Currently, this is the maximum charge that Xiaomi is offering for its commercial smartphones. The company already has HyperCharge 200W technology, but it has yet to launch in any commercial products. Hopefully, in the near future, we will see more information about the Black Shark 5 series appearing on websites.
