Coming on the heels of a new gaming phone from Asus, news of a new Zenfone 8 series is fast approaching. One of them, the ZenFone 8 Flip, was unintentionally revealed. The name was reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip. Is Asus about to release a foldable phone?
Recently, a phone model named Zenfone 8 Flip was found on the Google Developer website. In fact, the ZenFone 8 isn’t surprising, since that’s what the next generation of ZenFone phones should be called, but the Flip is more intriguing. “Flip” itself means to Flip, and this is the first time the word appears in the naming of the ZenFone line. Although the Zenfone series features flipping the lens, it was not emphasized in the naming of previous generations.
In the past two years, folding screen products have become more and more popular. Many manufacturers have launched or will launch foldable phones. It would not be unusual for Asus to join this trend. Unfortunately, no pictures of the ZenFone 8 Flip have been released yet. But given its similar name to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Asus ZenFone 8 Flip may also have a Flip screen.

There will be more than one model in the Asus ZenFone 8 series, and in addition to the possibility of a folding screen, other models will also have straight screens. That could include a phone with a small screen. The small phone, which will be called the Asus ZenFone 8 Mini, will have a 5.92-inch FHD+ OLED screen and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to a source.
