Asus ZenFone7/Pro will be officially released on August 26. Some configuration information about ZenFone7 has been found in the source code of the ROG Phone 3 kernel.
First of all, the ZenFone 7, code-named ZS670KS, uses a standard Snapdragon 865 chip, which is consistent with current rumors, while the more advanced Zenfone 7 Pro should use a Snapdragon 865 + processor.
On the screen side, ZenFone 7 uses a BOE LCD screen, which measures 6.4 inches, has a 1,080 x 2,340 resolution, a standard 60Hz refresh rate, a fingerprint reader that will be either side or rear, and a microSD card slot.
Fortunately, the display won’t have any bangs or holes, as it will use a flip camera like the 2019 model, with wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras and a 3D ToF sensor. The main camera is SONY IMX686, a 64MP sensor used by the ROG Phone 3, measuring 1/1.72-inch and 0.8 micron in pixel size. The ultra wide-angle camera uses SONY’s IMX363 sensor (12MP, 1/2.55 inch, 1.4 micron).
Overall, Asus Zenfone 7 looks very similar to the Zenfone 6, with upgrades to the chipset and main camera. We have learned that Zenfone 7 Pro will cost around 500 euros, or about 4,000 yuan, and that the standard version will be cheaper.
