The company ASUS introduced Zenfone 5, with an Intel processor and a graphics processor PowerVR, as early as 2014. But the confusion in the names that began after, led to the fact that we will see one more Zenfone 5, released this year. According to the Internet edition of Winfuture.de, the number of the new model is ASUS X00PD.
The ASUS Zenfone 5 X00PD is said to have a 5.7 “screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. Smaller bezels result in the removal of a central fingerprint home button/scanner, which is mounted on the back. At the top, there are LED alerts, front camera, headset, and sensors.
Moving the fingerprint scanner to the back is not the only change in the device. ASUS also changed the design of the dual main camera. Instead of the previous horizontal position, the cameras are placed vertically in a style reminiscent of the iPhone X. However, the LED flash is below the camera instead of the same casing.
ASUS also used the U-antenna line design for the device, which is visible both at the top and bottom. The On / Off button and volume button are on the right side, while the SIM card slot and the second microphone are on the left. The ASUS Zenfone 5 X00PD features a micro USB port on the bottom that frames on both sides of the speaker grills, while the 3.5mm Jack is at the top.
This ASUS model is said to be equipped with a Snapdragon 430 processor, combined with at least 3GB of RAM. The rest of the specifications are currently unknown but will be lagging behind. Although Zenfone 4 was introduced in the third quarter of 2017, the new Zenfone 5 series is likely to be announced at MWC 2018.
