At MWC 2018, Asus has unveiled its ZenFone 5 lineup. It includes ZenFone 5 mid-range phone, ZenFone 5Z flagship and ZenFone 5 Lite (also known as ZenFone 5Q) entry-level phone. Here is a low down on the specs, features and pricing of each model.
ZenFone 5 Lite
The ZenFone 5 Lite has a 6-inch display that supports FHD+ resolution and offers screen-to-body ratio of 80.3 percent. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset that comes with 2.4 GHZ Wi-Fi band and full HD video shooting support. There is a Snapdragon 630 variant that supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi band and 4K video shooting.
The ZenFone 5 Lite is a dual-SIM phone with a dedicated microSD card slot. It comes in variants like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage. It is packed with 3,300mAh battery.
It is loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo that is flavored with ZenUI 5.0. The front side features a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor that is coupled with a secondary 120-degree wide-angle lens. Its rear houses 16-megapixel main camera that is accompanied by 120-degree wide-angle lens.It comes in colors like Rouge Red, Moonlight White and Midnight Black. Its pricing is not available yet.
ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z
The ZenFone 5 comes with a 6.2-inch Super IPS display with notch because of which it offers 19:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. It offers 90-percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Snapdragon 636 chipset powers the ZenFone 5. It has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. Its rear include OIS and PDAF enabled 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with 120-degree wide-angle secondary lens. For shooting selfies, it has 8-megapixel main camera coupled with 84-degree wide-angle lens. It is packed with 3,300mAh battery and it runs on ZenUI 5.0 skinned Oreo.
The ZenFone 5Z only differs in chipset, RAM and storage from ZenFone 5. The 5Z comes with Snapdragon 845 and its variants include 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Both ZenFone 5 and 5Z can be availed in Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver color options. No information is available on the pricing of ZenFone 5, but the 5Z will be costing $479 (~$585).

The Asus ZenFone 5 and 5Z are packed with following AI features: AI Boost for better gaming experience, AI Photography for scene detection, beautification, bokeh effect and photo learning, AI Display that keeps screen on when user looks at it and automatically adjust color temperature, AI Ringtone automatically adjusts volume according to environment and ZeniMoji for making live animated characters.
