Yesterday, ASUS held the online event The Pinnacle of Performance to reveal to the world its new line of notebooks. In addition to the Vivobook Pro and Zenbook Pro enthusiast models, the company also announced the ASUS VivoBook S 16X OLED. Positioned between the Pro and Classic lines, this notebook has a hinge of up to 180 degrees as a differential.
The ASUS VivoBook S 16X OLED is available with up to i5-12500H and i7-12700H and can be equipped with 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM, of which 8GB are soldered on the motherboard. Vivobook S 16X (M5602) will be optional R7 6800H and R9 6900HX, optional 16 GB DDR5 memory, also onboard 8 GB. ASUS claims that its IceCool cooling technology allows the processor to perform 45W of performance.
On the screen side, this notebook is equipped with a 16:10 3840×2,400 NanoEdge display with a response time of 0.2 milliseconds, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, PANTONE certification, and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification. In addition, this notebook also offers an optional 2560×1600 IPS panel.
In terms of interfaces, this notebook is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 (Intel model) / USB-C (AMD model) interfaces, HDMI 2.0b interface, and a USB-A interface. According to reports, the price of the ASUS VivoBook S 16X OLED starts from 1299 euros and will be available in the second quarter of 2022.
