The Asus ROG Phone 4 is a gaming smartphone that we expect to launch in 2021. The device was noticed in the base of the popular Geekbench benchmark. There we have the opportunity to see the partial technical specification of the new model. Let’s take a look at it.
As seen in the Geekbench database image, the alleged Asus ROG phone 4 (with the model number ASUS_I005DA) has recently been listed. The smartphone achieved 1,081 points in the single-core test. While in the multi-core test, the smartphone achieved 3,584 points.
Furthermore, the Geekbench listing reveals that the smartphone will draw its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The motherboard ‘Lahaina’ confirms this to be the Snapdragon 888 processor. The listing further reveals that this octa-core Snapdragon processor will have a base frequency of 1.8GHz.
The chip was supported by 8GB of RAM. Everything worked under the control of Android 11. Unfortunately, the Geekbench listing does not reveal any other hardware feature and we are yet to get some insight into the device’s camera, display, and battery capacity.
In addition, the same device (with two models ASUS_I005DA, ASUS_I005DB) has also been spotted on the HTML5 test page with a 412 x 933px screen size.
For now, we only have partial specifications for the Asus ROG Phone 4. We will wait a while for the complete technical specification. However, expect a screen refreshing at 144 Hz, supported by Snapdragon 888. There will also be a 5G modem and strong components. We expect the premiere of this gaming smartphone in the first half of 2021.
