Taiwanese company ASUS, without any major event, presented it in silence, it even does not even inform the press about the new device – ZenFone Ares, which brings a very interesting charge.
The device focuses on AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality), the specifications are almost identical to last year’s ZenFone AR. There is, therefore, a 5.7 “display with a Super AMOLED panel and a standard 16: 9 aspect ratio. It is complemented by Quad HD resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels). The display is equipped with several well-known features – Tru2life technology for better external visibility and oil repellent coating.
Ares uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage. It looks like the hardware is compatible with Google ARCore technology. The camera then delivers a 23MP sensor and a PixelMaster 3.0 lens. The camera is, of course, capable of tracking motion and sensing depth for those cold three-dimensional AR effects. The camera pointing towards the front is seated for the 8MP sensor.
Interestingly, the device is running on the Android Nougat OS, but the battery capacity does not drop – 3300 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. If you want a multimedia experience, we have great management. The phone is equipped with SonicMaster 3.0 Hi-Res Audio 384 kHz and supports DTS 7.1 surround sound headphones. ZenFone Ares is currently limited to Taiwan and will be available for purchase at local retailers at a starting price of 9,999 TWD ($333).
