Igeekphone January 14 news, according to the latest news from Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple plans to comprehensively update the Apple Watch series in 2025, and is expected to launch three new models: Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and Apple Watch Ultra 3.
Among them, the Apple Watch SE 3 as an affordable version, may adopt a new appearance design.
There have been rumors that Apple is considering using a plastic body for the Apple Watch SE 3 to achieve lighter weight and diverse color options to further appeal to younger user groups.
In addition, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will introduce satellite connectivity, allowing users to send a distress signal through the watch in case of an emergency, even without an iPhone, improving the safety of outdoor activities.
Ultra 3 will also support 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability) technology, a lightweight 5G technology designed for wearables with lower power consumption and fewer antenna requirements, ensuring stable connectivity while extending battery life.
It is worth mentioning that the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3 will add blood pressure detection function.
In fact, the blood pressure detection function was originally planned to launch in 2024, but due to the limitations of the technology, it was delayed to 2025.
Once the blood pressure monitoring function is online, it will take Apple Watch one step further in health monitoring and meet users’ needs for comprehensive health data.
