MacRumors reports that Apple’s upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 Watch may feature a smaller “S7” chip to provide more room for components such as a larger battery or sensors.
MacRumors also cited a Digitimes source as saying that Apple’s next Watch will come in a Double-SIP (SIP) package supplied by ASE.
ASE also confirmed on its website that its double-sided structure technology allows for the miniaturization of modules to power the smaller “S7” chips.
