January 17 news, before the market, Apple Vision Pro received FCC certification, FCC documents confirmed that Apple Vision Pro does not support Wi-Fi 6E, which surprised the outside world.
Because the iPad Pro, iPhone 15 Pro series, and most Mac devices in 2023 support Wi-Fi 6E.
It is understood that the “E” in Wi-Fi 6E stands for Extended, and the most important feature of the standard WiFi 6E is that it supports the 6GHz band, allowing the router to incorporate a new band into the use standard from the current 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
The Apple Vision Pro does not support Wi-Fi 6E, but Wi-Fi 6, which means the device can only operate on two bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
The device will be available for pre-order on January 19 and will go on sale on February 2 for $3,499, or about $25,000.
Apple stressed that the Vision Pro is not AR or VR, but a spatial computing device that seamlessly blends digital content with the physical world, allowing users to interact with apps with their eyes, movement and voice.
