In the early morning of April 21, Apple’s special event for the Spring Festival Gala arrived as scheduled. During a live stream of the special event, Apple introduced us to its new Apple TV 4K. The new A12 chip will support 4K, Dolby Vision, and HDR content at high frame rates, and officials say it will be the best TV operating system on the market. Priced, the new Apple TV will cost $179 for 32GB and $199 for 64GB.
In addition to the A12 chip and support for high-frame-rate HDR video, the Apple TV 4K also features a redesigned remote control. The new remote is a bit like the iPhone 12 in appearance, with a fully 100 percent recyclable aluminum casing. It’s also more versatile in terms of functionality, including the ability to call out Siri with one click.
