According to display analyst Ross Young, Apple Mini LED iMac Pro will be launched in the summer, not in the early spring of this year.
Ross Young said he no longer expects the new iMac Pro to launch in the spring, with a “summer” launch now more likely. Panels are expected to start shipping in June, with a release in August or September.
Back in December, Ross Young said an iMac Pro with a Mini LED display would launch in the spring, and Bloomberg’s Gurman also believes the device could debut in the spring, expected to take place in March or April.
According to Gurman, Apple’s spring event will focus on the iPhone SE 3 5G, the iPad Air 5 with updated A-series chips, and at least one new Mac powered by Apple’s Silicon chips. Gurman thinks this Mac could be a new Mini LED iMac or a Mac mini, and according to Young’s new data, if Gurman’s information is confirmed, it looks like we might see a new Mac mini before an upgrade to the iMac.
Apple is rumored to be working on a 27-inch iMac that will be sold alongside the smaller 24-inch iMac. The new iMac will feature a Mini LED backlight, but Ross Young said today that he thinks it will have less Mini LED area than the Mini LED iPad Pro and MacBook Pro models.

The Apple Mini LED iMac Pro is expected to see Apple reinstate the “iMac Pro” name to differentiate it from the 24-inch iMac and align it with the naming of the MacBook Pro models. The iMac Pro will include the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips as the MacBook Pro models, as well as an updated design with thinner black bezels and perhaps new color options.
