According to Jon Prosser, Apple’s iPhone SE 4 will have nearly the same design as iPhone XR, and will bring renderings to show.
Jon Prosser says Apple’s iPhone SE 4 will get designs from the iPhone XR 2018. The change also makes sense given that the original iPhone SE design was based on the iPhone 5s 2013 , while 2/3 of the iPhone SE design was based on the iPhone 8 2017 .
The latest information expands on what Jon Prosser initially said back in August of this year, but he still doesn’t have a clear picture of the device’s internals and specifications — though some older hardware may be used to keep costs down. Third-party designer Ian Zelbo created some renderings that purportedly and accurately depict the new device.

iPhone SE 4 was rumored before the launch of the iPhone SE 3 model earlier this year. Jon Prosser’s latest statement is in line with display analyst Ross Young’s recent prediction that the next iPhone SE will have a 6.1-inch display with fringe ‘grooves’ at the top of the display. Back in 2019, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first said Apple was working on an iPhone with a 6.1-inch LCD display, Igeekphone has learned With iPhone XR’s 6.1-inch LCD display and fringe grooves, the leaks about the next iPhone SE 4 seem to be largely consistent.
